Input Session on School Transportation. The BPS District is seeking public input on proposed solutions designed to improve the quality, safety and reliability of transportation. One of the proposed changes would involve altering ‘bell times’ to allow a two-tier bus system, potentially starting the school day earlier for elementary students and later for secondary students. Stakeholders are invited to attend one or more input sessions with BPS leaders to share feedback on possible solutions. Sessions are facilitated by the Consensus Council. The next session is held October 7 at Horizon Middle School.

The Bismarck School Board is comprised of five members serving 4-year terms. The Board governs the district through policy by employing a leadership model known as coherent governance where the Superintendent acts as the Chief Executive Officer. The Board establishes intended outcomes for student results and holds the Superintendent accountable for those results.
