- Approved a $1.1 billion maximum property tax levy for 2026, which is 7.79% above the 2025 adopted levy. Also approved a nearly $3.1 billion 2026 budget.
- Approved the 2026 Hennepin County Regional Railroad Authority maximum property tax levy of 0% and received a presentation on the rail authority’s 2026 budget.
- Approved a formal proclamation to recognize Mental Health Illness Awareness Week, which takes place Oct. 6 through Oct. 12.
- Approved general assistance program funds (GPAs) with the City of Minneapolis related to shelter and housing stability and approved an agreement with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development Continuum of Care program to accept grant funds for rapid rehousing services for unhoused families.
- Approved the appointment of David Lawless to fill the Minnesota Ballpark Authority’s Hennepin County seat, a four-year term, effective immediately.
- Adopted the Hennepin County Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Transition Plan to improve accessibility for all people on the county’s transportation system.
