The next comments from Ms. Rossby and Ms. Jackson were less content with the state of things in their respective wards. One more concerned with quality park access in the west loop and the other on migration impact on her neighborhood.
An urban planner/resident of Portage Park and a member of the organizing committee that negotiated with the developers spoke out about their frustration with the Western 6 corners upzoning being deferred again.

Park Manor Church's Change Request: B3-2 Community Shopping District to B2-3 Neighborhood Mixed-Use District at 8332-8358 S King Jr Dr is looking to permit the redevelopment of the site with a 52-unit 100% affordable elderly residential five (5) story apartment building.
Alder Andre Vasquez's Change Request: B1-2 Neighborhood Shopping District to B3-3 Community Shopping District at 6501 N Western Ave was approved.
This zoning change will grandfather existing businesses from the previous zoning and require new businesses to adopt the changing zone limitations, creating more opportunities for diversity development along Western.
